Youth Football Championship (YFC) is a multi-city, professionally structured, grassroots league ecosystem with the aim of changing the way young football is played and experienced in India.
Where It All Began
Youth Football Championship (YFC) started with one simple observation, there isn’t a problem of talent in grassroots football in India, but the problem is that there isn’t a structured pathway for development. Players trained hard and academies worked tirelessly but opportunities to play were often limited to short, irregular tournaments with little continuity or long-term development.
To fill this void, YFC was launched on Dec 7th 2024 with the clear vision of creating a league based ecosystem to allow players to compete regularly, develop consistently and experience football in a professional, structured environment. FC was constructed for age groups from U-5 to U-18, designed for meaningful match exposure, competitive growth, and player development throughout a season.
The road was certainly not smooth. It required a commitment to building trust, setting up operations and having high standards every step of the way. But what started as an idea quickly blossomed into a thriving platform that would touch hundreds of players, teams and coaches through multiple cities.
FC today is more than a league. It is an initiative to improve the quality of grassroots football and to create opportunities for the next generation of players across India.
Our Mission
The talent of grassroots football in India always existed, but it was lacking in structure and consistency and in competition. Players train several times per week, play some unstructured tournaments that are held locally, and have low confidence, limited exposure and poor development.
YFC fills this need with a league-based approach with weekly competition instead of a one-off weekend.

Following the successful launch in Mumbai in 2024, YFC expanded to Pune, delivering a successful inaugural season built on the same structured, league-based format.
With a clear vision for nationwide growth, YFC’s next destination is Delhi, where the inaugural season kicks off on 5th July 2026.
With Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi laying the foundation, YFC's next chapter takes us to Ahmedabad. An official announcement will follow soon as we bring our structured grassroots football ecosystem to Gujarat.

Rakhi Tripathi is the Founder and the driving force behind the league's foundation. She has played a pivotal role in shaping YFC into more than just a competition platform.
Adarsh Tripathi is the managing director of YFC, leading the organization’s vision and execution. His focus lies in building a strong, structured, and competitive environment for grassroots football development across India.
Sadique Ansari leads the operational backbone of YFC, ensuring the league runs smoothly across all active cities. He oversees the core organizational processes, coordinating operations & deliver a seamless experience.
Ashraf Khan leads the technical and on-ground operations of YFC, ensuring every match is delivered with consistency, fairness, and professionalism while upholding the league's standards across all competitions.
Wasim Jafri as the manager of YFC is an important link between the teams, the academies and the organizing body and thus helps in the day to day functioning of YFC.
Ensures the highest standards of safety and well-being across all league activities. Oversees child protection protocols, handles safeguarding concerns, and builds a secure environment where players, parents, and teams can trust the system completely.
Drives the financial backbone of the league, managing budgets, cash flow, and long-term sustainability. Leads sponsorship acquisition, brand partnerships, and revenue generation, playing a key role in scaling the league’s commercial success.
Handles core administrative functions including registrations, data management, and internal coordination. Acts as the backbone of operational support, ensuring seamless communication between teams, management, and organizers.
Responsible for the execution of matchday operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the ground. Coordinates team logistics, match schedules, and on-field requirements to deliver a professional and organized event experience.
Supports the planning and execution of events, managing on-ground logistics and assisting in matchday operations. Ensures timely coordination between teams, officials, and staff to maintain smooth event flow.
Leads the entire operational structure of the league, ensuring flawless execution across all events. Manages referee coordination, ground bookings, scheduling, and overall logistics. Acts as the central link between officials, venues, and organizers, ensuring every matchday is executed with precision, professionalism, and consistency.
